Hello Again

Well, I am so sorry that I haven't posted anything lately. I have been busy painting a mural for our children's department at our church. It is the first mural and probably the last mural that I will ever do. Anyway, the kids have been with me and they have been having the most fun playing with their friends, Maggie and Emma. Jana, the girl's mom is an excellent artist and she has been working on a mural of Noah's Ark. She is so talented!
That's not all that I have been working on, I purchased paint this Monday and started painting my computer/craft/sewing room. My wonderful husband is finishing it today for me because I have been pretty overwhelmed with my mural project. Also my sisters and I, along with some other ladies from our church are getting ready for an "unveiling" for the Women's Ministry at our church. I'm. so. excited!!!
So, all of that rolled together with the fact that I have been neglecting my laundry and vacuum at home and I need to start focusing on school clothes for the kids and my own classroom ... arghghgharhgghghhg! Oh well, life will slow down somewhat when school starts. Ha!

Happy Anniversary!

Eleven years ago today Anthony and I started our marriage. I love him. This is our wedding song, it was so sweet because he "mouthed" the words to me throughout the whole song. All I could do was cry and try not to let my nostrils flare. It didn't work. We have grown so much together since that day and I look back and think of the beautiful surroundings and the loved ones that were there to witness it. I would do it all again.

all of my life
i have dreamed
that somehow love would find me
now i can't believe you're standing here

If beauty is all
in the eye
of the beholder then i
wish you could see
the love for you that lives in me

(Chorus)
And you would know you have my heart
If you could see, what i see
that a treasure's what you are
if you could see, what i see
Created to be
the only one for me
If you could see, what i see

I know there are days
when you feel
so much less than ideal
wondering what i see in you

It's all of the light
and the grace
your belief in me drives me to say
that i promise you
a faithful love, forever true

(Chorus)

if you could see
then you'd understand
why i fall down to my knees
and i pray my love
will be worthy of
the one who gave his life
so our love could be

if you could see
what i see(x2)

You're created to be
The perfect one for me
If you could see
What i see

if beauty is all
in the eye
of the beholder then i
am beholding...
true beauty

Under the Sea, under the sea...

Did I mention that the Texas State Aquarium was so much fun? It was! The people were so nice and very informative and the facility was just...beautiful. Here are a couple of pictures of our visit to the aquarium. It really made our little mermaids' day.

Home Again, home again jiggidy jog!

We are home from our little adventure through south Texas and the Texas coast. Friday our family set out on a vacation that would consist of us traveling to Bay City to visit my aunt and uncle, then we were going to head out to my nana's house in Orange Grove. Once there, we were going to just hang out and relax and also visit the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi. All of this coming to a close in Port Aransas on the beach and one night in a hotel.
We had so much fun, the girls love going to my aunt and uncle's house in Bay City because my aunt is from Japan and she has all of these figurines and neat stuff that she has brought home from visits in the past. Also, she and my uncle have a lush backyard with gardens and plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies, complete with a pond and beautiful goldfish that Belle and Layla love to feed.
It was a good time full of swapping pickle recipe (they have a really good one) and eating watermelon and looking through old pictures that were my granny's. This was only our first stop and I will have lots of pictures and more stories to share with you soon.

My Weekend Part 2

Friday night was just as rainy as Friday morning but Anthony promised to take me to the movies. We started out towards Baybrook Mall and then to Olive Garden and because my husband loves me he took me to the bookstore. AAAAAhhhhhh. I love that man.
After I had my fill of books we then headed out to the movies where we were to meet Michelle and Trent. I was so excited because we were going to see Eclipse (major fan of the books) We had everything planned out. We got there in plenty of time but then the unthinkable happened... I fell....!!!!
Yes, it's true. I fell and I was horrified! Anthony, seeing the humor in all things, asked me if I was okay as he was helping me up. When I said I was he pretended to push me back down and told me maybe we could get in the movies for free. Anyway, besides a soar knee and much more painful pride we got ready to see the movie. I called Michelle to share my embarrassement and all she said was, "Please tell me Anthony took a picture!" Thanks Shell... I will leave you with a picture to sum up THAT night because after reading all four books of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Saga I had never realized that was in fact a member of Team Jasper, but this is not the end. Let's not forget that Sunday was the 4th and we had an awesome day but that will be in part 3.

My Weekend Part 1

My weekend started out pretty dismal. It was raining, the kind of rain you just wish you could stay in bed and read till your back hurt from laying down. I can't remember the last time that happened to me... honest! Anyway, all was not lost, my sister, Michelle was having brunch at her house and we (me, Belle and Layla) were expected there at 10am.
We arrived and walked in to her kitchen to see a beautifully decorated table with lovely scones and fresh preserves waiting for us. Michelle was baking eggs French style using ramekins and smoked salmon and goat cheese. It was good... here, I'll just show you.
We had such a nice time. My mom and dad came over along with Manda and Michelle's mother in law, Becky. And the service wasn't that bad either.
All in all, we had good food, good conversation and lots of entertainment with the kids around. However, that was just the beginning... we had lots of fun that night too... but that is for Part 2. Stay tuned.

Getting Ready for the 4th

It's really hard to think about a 4th of July celebration when the sky is murky with rain clouds. I'm glad we are getting rain I just hate that it is coming down in sheets just a few days before our church picnic.
Oh well, on a happier note... I am going to sew the girls skirts for our church service. I'm excited because they will be wearing some fantastic flip flops as well. I will post some pictures of that when everything is finished. Also, we will be having brunch at Michelle's house tomorrow and I think even my dad is coming, you better believe there will be pictures of that! I can't wait to see what will be on the menu and what other fun treats she will have for us. She is soooo creative when it comes to that sort of thing. Anyway, hope you are staying dry where ever you may be and I hope the sun is shining down on you.
